Maxwell Design is based in beautiful Bend, OR, where the word “lifestyle” is a defining factor. Our surroundings have a huge impact on our state of mind and well-being, with the home at the center of this phenomenon. Maxwell Design’s philosophy is that the home is a reflection of who we are and how we live. A home can grow, change, and mature, just as we do. In the end, our home should inspire us and comfort us at the same time. By working closely with clients to understand their personal lifestyle, we endeavor to create a space that does just that.

Sunny Maxwell has studied and worked in the fields of art history, architecture, museum design, interior design, and residential renovation and restoration. After graduating from Vanderbilt University with a degree and Fine Arts and Spanish, she lived in London for a year and traveled extensively, admiring art and architecture all over the world.  For the last 15 years, she has focused on residential renovations and new construction.  Working on historical properties and collaborating with creative clients, Sunny has created unique living spaces that confirm the idea that nothing is final and anything is possible.  As a mom and pet owner, Sunny knows the importance of practicality, yet believes a comfortable, family-friendly home can be achieved without sacrificing style or elegance.
